Roy Yonkers
A life long Western Connecticut resident, I am one agent you can turn to for information about Northern Fairfield County. My familiarity with the area helps me inform my clients through the decision-making process. Prior to real estate I worked in corporate human resources. I started as a technical recruiter and worked my way up to a senior human resources project manager. My years of experience in corporate America equipped me with excellent skills to serve my clients. Two of my strongest attributes are my follow-up skills and time management skills. Whenever a situation arises, I handle it right away. I am also extremely technologically savvy and astute at managing projects. Well-connected in the real estate field, I belong to the Danbury Board of REALTORS®, Connecticut Association of REALTORS® (CAR), the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and Consolidated Multiple listing Service (CMLS). I have also completed the Coldwell Banker University Elite training program and attended Western Connecticut State University. In my spare time I enjoy boating, water skiing and swimming on Candlewood Lake, and snow skiing in the winter months.

Business Philosophy:
My business philosophy can be summed up in 3 words: Truly Remarkable Service. I define Truly Remarkable service this way: I don't just to do the mechanics necessary to help you buy, sell or rent a home. My goal is to do everything in my power to make your real estate experience as satisfying and fulfilling as possible. The road from one home to another can be daunting in the 21st Century. That doesn't mean it shouldn't be fun and exciting. When working with me, you can have confidence that I’ll let you focus on the enjoyable parts of moving and leave the details to me. The end of our transaction will be the beginning of a long-term relationship.
Business Background:
Prior to becoming a Realtor, I held a number of positions in Corporate America. After a successful, 15-year career with AT&T, in a variety of sales/management positions, winning virtually every sales award available, I left to pursue other interests in 1992. As Director of Training for $3 Billion technology reseller, MicroWarehouse I built a recruiting/training program that kept our 300 person sales team staffed with the best. I moved on to the position of Vice President, Sales and Marketing for global music publishing giant Music Sales Corporation, representing artists such as Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Buddy Rich, and Tori Amos. I then became Vice President, Sales and Marketing for WeComply, Inc., a market leader in online training. Viacom, The New York Stock Exchange, Perot Systems, Forbes Media, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, and Sony were a few clients.

Personal Background:
A lifelong resident of the metro-NY area, I was born in the Bronx and raised in Westchester County. I now reside in Fairfield County with my wife Shereen and our two dogs, Sasha and Smoochie (they had those names when we adopted them). I have two grown children. My son lives in New Rochelle, NY and my daughter in Dahlonega, GA, which unknown to many, was the site of the first great American gold rush in 1846. In addition to my business career I have always been and still am an active semi-professional musician. My most exciting moment was when my band, Jigsaww, played as opening act for Blood, Sweat and Tears in 2002. I currently teach piano one afternoon a week at the Bethel Music Center. As a movie "nut", I am totally addicted to Netflix.
